Cookie Policy
Last updated 15 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Betaling Africa Ltd ("Betaling", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website, sign in to your dashboard, or use the Treasury Network. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to give the site owner information about how people are using the service. Similar technologies include local storage and pixel tags — for simplicity we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.
How we use cookies
Betaling uses a small, deliberately limited set of cookies. We group them into three categories.
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the site to function. They cannot be turned off without breaking core experiences such as signing in, keeping you signed in across pages, and protecting your session from fraud. They include:
- Authentication cookies — short-lived access tokens and a refresh token issued when you sign in to a Betaling business account or staff dashboard. These cookies cannot be used to identify you on third-party sites.
- Security cookies — CSRF and device-binding tokens that help us detect session hijacking attempts.
Preference
These cookies remember choices you have made so the site behaves the
way you expect. They include the cookie consent record itself
(betaling-cookie-consent), set when you click "Accept
all" or "Reject" on the banner. We use this to avoid asking you
again on every page load.
Analytics
We do not currently run third-party analytics or advertising cookies on betaling-africa.com. If we add product-analytics tooling in the future, this policy and the cookie banner will be updated before the new cookies are deployed, and you will be asked to consent again.
How long do cookies last?
The length of time a cookie remains on your device depends on its type. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them. Betaling's access tokens expire after 10 minutes; the refresh token and the cookie consent record expire after 7 and 365 days respectively.
Managing cookies
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing the cookies set by betaling-africa.com from your browser settings — the banner will then reappear on your next visit and you can make a new choice. Most browsers also let you block cookies altogether; doing so will prevent you from signing in to your Betaling dashboard.

Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, if the change is material, we'll surface a fresh banner asking for your consent to the new categories.
